The pinwheels and prairie points baby quilt was one of the first patterns I wrote, circa 2009, and one of my most popular patterns. Last year I finally sat down and drafted a pattern for a table topper with pinwheels and prairie points! It's been in my head forever.
This design is simple and so much fun to make, and it’s the perfect size for a table topper—measuring approximately 20" x 28" finished. I quilted it on the longarm using the Autumn Oaks panto, which adds the sweetest touch with its tiny acorns.
If you haven't made prairie points yet, don't be afraid! They're easier than you might think.
I think the prairie points around the edge add a charming little pop of personality to the topper.
You could switch up the fabrics and make one for any holiday or season—cozy for fall, festive for Christmas, bright and cheerful for spring, or patriotic for summer.
The pattern is available in my Etsy shop—click the button to visit Pleasant Home on Etsy.
